BarrierTEK Inc. (BTI) specializes in the innovation and manufacturing of fire retardant nano-composite coating materials for wood-based product for the construction industry. Currently, BTI commercializes a unique fire rated and weatherable OSB product under the brand name of “ProTEKtor” that is second to none in the construction market. BTI ensures the quality and consistency at every step of the process as highly qualified individuals locally manufacture both the
coating materials and the coated OSB end product. Currently, BTI is renting a 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility at Nisku in Leduc with a dedicated 1,500 square foot R&D lab facility.

HJC Consulting is an independent microfluidics and analytical chemistry consulting company located in Edmonton, AB, Canada.  Though presently a
one-man operation with founder Dr. John Crabtree as sole employee, the company works closely with other service providers and industrial/academic collaborators to cover full scope requirements.  The company is fully independently owned and will work with any of a number of downstream manufacturers worldwide, and has good contacts with many already.

Quantiam launched a joint venture with BASF of Germany, BASF Qtech Inc., to jointly commercialize a core Cleantech technology. Quantiam employs 30 staff inclusive of 8 Ph.D.s.

Quantum Silicon Inc. develops atomic scale, ultra-low-power computing circuits that provide semiconductor manufacturers with a path to significantly reduce power consumption while preserving the industry’s investments in silicon and CMOS.
